Application & Schedule
With our crafted approach, the Base Lawn Maintenance Plan is the bare minimum for a good lawn. It covers the basics like fertilization, broadleaf weed control, crabgrass pre-emergent and post-emergent, nutsedge control and calcium lime. If your lawn has other problems, you can choose from our list of services to provide you with various solutions.
The Base Lawn Maintenance Plan has 6 applications roughly 6 weeks apart throughout the year. With perfectly timed applications, the base plan will keep your yard a deep green color and free of weeds all season long.
01. First Application
The 1st application is one of the most important. It includes a pre-emergent control with a slow-release fertilizer. This combo will protect your lawn from unwanted summer annuals along with giving your grass needed nutrients for even growth during the spring.
02. Second Application
Our 2nd application is a booster for the first. It adds 2-3 months of pre-emergent protection to last through the summer along with a fertilizer to green your grass back up.
03. Third Application
With summertime rapidly approaching, our 3rd application is a fertilizer that is low in nitrogen, high in potassium, plus has essential micro-nutrients. This means that it will help grow deep roots along with greening-up your lawn.
04. Fourth Application
During the summer, our 4th application is calcium lime that will balance the soil pH helping your grass to access essential nutrients from the soil. Along with the calcium lime application, we will control any crabgrass that breaks through during the late summer months.
05. Fifth Application
During the late fall, we will apply our 5th application which is a winter fertilizer. This high nitrogen slow-released fertilizer will help you grass grow roots during the dormant winter months, giving your lawn all the nutrients it needs to green-up strong the next spring.
06. Sixth Application
The 6th application is another round of calcium lime for maintaining a healthy soil pH level. Keeping your soil balanced will help with the Cationic Exchange Capacity (CEC) letting your grass access essential nutrients in the soil.
Throughout the year, we will control broadleaf weeds along with nutsedge during the summer.
